I
have been all over the planet, I am driven by media and so
is the world! |
As one of the most
watched Independent writers/directors in Canada during recent
years, I have only begun to emerge into the professional community.
|
As Executive Director of Boolean
Studio, I was able to guide this studio to an audience penetration
of more than seven million viewers nationally and internationally.
I developed and watched over all aspects of project production.
During my experiences prior to Boolean Studio, I involved
myself in many diverse projects that allowed me to acquire
real world experience in every aspect of media. The benefits
of all that time spent is a fluid understanding of the professional
demands on every type of artist that contributes to any successful
project, making me a very effective and efficient team member
and team leader. |
My professional advantage is the
anticipation, writing, planning and production of media that
makes people engage with it. My success so far is not an accident,
but rather the result of a committed career path. The
foundations of my abilities were cultivated with a serious
attitude towards the benefits of formal education and efforts
to travel around the planet in order to gain a well rounded
perspective on the human condition. |
There have been many innovations
to media creation and delivery during the last decade and
my career evolution has prepared me well to adapt to the changing
mainstream environment. I have proven that I can create new
media that satisfies the many perspectives of today’s
viewing audience. The challenge of creating great media goes
far beyond knowing what will be well received now; the challenge
includes being able to speculate what media that will be well
received at the time the production is released to its intended
audience. |
I often say “Everyone with
a cell phone camera and a laptop is a film maker these days.”
During 06/07 my media got downloaded over 7 million times.
The Vancouver Film School, which is one of the most renowned
schools of its kind in Canada, took out a half page add in
the newspapers to brag about the fact that it, with all its
student body, got 2 million in audience penetration during
the same time period. |
During the next 40
years, I hope every project I attempt brings new challenges
to my skill set. It is the excitement of overcoming these
challenges and bringing dynamics of innovation, which make
my career an affliction of passion and not a choice. So far
in life, I have found, there are few accomplishments as validating
as creating art that people seek out and media that is enjoyed
and remembered by the audiences that watch it. |
